With its new update, Airbnb revealed the favorite destinations of visitors in Greece, which show particularly increased tourist traffic, as well as the new trends in the market.

With a 13.7% increase in searches for outdoor facilities, Greek families are looking for space to "spread out".

In Greece, popular destinations are Chalandri and Maroussi, as well as wonderful seaside destinations such as Donoussa, Vasiliki and Schisma Elounda.

Visitors are looking for accommodation and experiences based on the game. Still, vacationers seem to be looking for gaming-based accommodations and experiences. Characteristically, with searches for the Play Category increasing by 214% this summer, Greek visitors are looking for stays that are experiences in themselves. The Play Category features listings with fun-filled options that go beyond standard amenities, such as basketball courts, game rooms, trampolines, water slides, and more.

Greek families are looking for outdoor spaces and seaside accommodations

Having more outdoor space is a priority for families this summer, with searches for outdoor amenities such as pools and barbecues increasing by 13.7% for family trips among Greek users. With amenities like chef's kitchens and private outdoor spaces, Airbnb is the preferred choice for many families.

Almost half of Greek visitors (48%) say that being able to fit their whole family in one place is a deciding factor when booking, according to a recent survey. And 64% say amenities like kitchens, workspaces and patios are important when booking.

This summer, Greek families are turning to Airbnb to hike, swim and enjoy incredible views. Some of the top national categories booked by families this summer have a central theme of being near water, including Countryside, Beach, Seaside, National Parks and Stunning Views.
